Burn an imaginary deck of cards, reach in to the flames and save just ONE card from burning; THEIR selection.

"As a creator of magic I always have one question in the forefront of mind, how do i make this look like real magic? Inferno is by one of the most magical moments you can give to your audience. I am seriously jealous I did not think of this..Brilliant Josh, just brilliant!!" -Justin Miller

"Inferno is a great twist on an already amazing plot, Joshua Jay's thinking behind this is sheer genius." -Rus Andrews

"Inferno is minimal magic at it finest. So much magic packed into a tiny matchbox. Powerful stuff!" -Ryan Schlutz

Joshua Jay has worked for years on a seemingly-impossible goal: a NAMED card appears in a matchbox.

    • No deck

    • No riffle force

    • No complications

Just one card in play, inside the matchbox...the NAMED card.

Sound too good to be true? What if we told you that this effect was easy to do, easy to reset, and was entirely self-contained.

    • Without sleeves

    • Without pockets

    • Without preparation

If you have the matchbox (included), you‘re ready to go. "Inferno" is the complete package:
you get an instructional DVD starring creator Joshua Jay, specially-printed "scorched" card,
and the matchbox.

You'll be lighting it up with "Inferno" within minutes.

Inferno includes the matchbox, cards, and everything you need to perform the effect. It also includes a DVD starring Joshua Jay, in which he teaches every facet of the routine in clear detail. It's a thought-of card in matchbox effect, and you should know the following points:

1. ALL you need for each performance is the matchbox. No cards are palmed in, and you don't have any kind of index. It's totally self-contained inside the matchbox.

2. There is no sleight of hand to speak of. If you follow along with the DVD once, you will be ready to perform the effect. There are a few things to remember, but technically, the effect is quite easy.

3. Everything is examinable at the end. When you're done, the spectator is holding her thought-of card, and the matchbox it came from. And, both props are totally legit.

4. Although the demo shows a close-up performance of Inferno, in fact the effect plays just as well (if not better) in a parlor situation. There are also no angle restrictions whatsoever. Do it surrounded if you like.

Rarely does an effect come about that fits in a shirt pocket and can be done anytime, anywhere. We hope you enjoy Inferno, and we know your audiences will.
